Q: What is Origin Metrics workforce?
A: Origin Metrics workforce is a consultant service which specializes in providing qualified personnel, as contractors, to the mortgage industry.

Q: Are you an employment agency? Are you a recruiter?
A: No and no. We do not place people in full-time jobs, although if they obtain full-time employment through one of our placements we are very happy. Our focus is to provide qualified personnel to companies who are looking for contract help.

Q: Who are your clients?
A: We are building a client base. The principals at Origin Metrics have many years in the mortgage business, and have many professional contacts to present your qualifications to. We are now developing a full slate of qualified professionals to present to clients who may want to use our services nationwide.

Q: What do you do with my information?
A: Your personal information is secure with Origin Metrics. We do not give anyone any of your personal information without your explicit consent, period. If someone is looking for a contractor with your skills in your area, we call you first and obtain your permission to release your name and telephone number or email address to them for contact.

Q: What other types of industries do you consult for?
A: We are experts in the mortgage business, and that is where we stay. If other industries are looking for people with mortgage skills, we can assist them as well, but only to help those who have specific mortgage experience.

Q: How can you find me a job in this bleak market?
A: When mortgage originations were booming, there was no problem getting a job. Now that the market has crashed, there are still a lot of jobs, but not in the same sectors of the business. Foreclosures and delinquencies are at record highs, company closings are at record levels, and frankly the industry is in chaos. Qualified professionals are needed as auditors, underwriters, and to work in servicing, portfolio retention, due diligence and quality control, to name a few. Obviously, there are not as many jobs as there were a year ago, but some areas of this business are crying out for help.

Q: What qualifications do I need?
A: Basically, you need at least three years’ experience in the mortgage business at some level where you know and understand the documents involved in the process. This can be pretty much any inside position that handled documentation: opener, processor, underwriter, closer, post-closer, shipping and insurance specialist, or even a loan officer. Providing us with a complete and accurate resume will help us in placing you in the positions for which you are most suited.

Q: How much will I be paid?
A: Right now, our goal is to place qualified professionals with companies on a contract basis. You will be paid by the retaining company, and at a rate established by them.
