Follicular Unit Extraction

Follicular unit extraction (FUE, also known as the FOX Procedure) is the recent and widely discussed surgical procedures for hair restoration.

The FU is identified anatomically as a small bundle consisting of 1 to 4 hair follicles, full-thickness as well as fine hairs, and the oil glands, muscles and connecting tissue that accompany and support hair follicles. These little groupings of hairs are called follicular units (FUs).

The Strip Method of Hair Transplant

The strip excision method is the process by which a strip of scalp tissue is surgically removed from the donor area of the scalp. The donor area is then sutured. The assistants extract the individual hair follicles. These follicles are then implanted into the bald area. Sutures in donor area are removed after 7-10 days. The scar of the strip method comes under the long hair at the back of head .
